Are You Running Or Learning From The Past?

This Week's Simple Tip

My husband and I went to Ted's Montana Grill the other night for dinner. On the water glass coaster there was a quote by Will Rogers that read: "Don't Let Yesterday Use Up Too Much of Today." It got my attention and made me think that we do seem to spend a lot of time in the past. Drifting off once in awhile to reminisce about fond memories is great and uplifting. But to have the past nagging at you because you don't want to deal with it can be wearing and unhealthy. The past is the past ... it doesn't matter ... you cannot undo it. You have the choice to run from it and live with its underlying emotionally hurt, or you can learn from it and move on.

This Week's Focus

This week, don't let yesterday take control of today. Make a conscious effort to deal with any past situation that is bothering you -- the short video below provides a little trick to help with this. Each day we are alive is a gift which is why it is called the "present." Be in the present and enjoy today!

A Little Helpful Hint

This 1-minute blast from the past is a great reminder that the past can hurt unless you choose to learn from it and move forward. Enjoy!
