Have A Differentiator You Can Be Proud Of
This Week's Simple Tip
While I am saddened it is necessary, I am thrilled to see so many reminders out there lately to remind people to "Be Nice." The first reminder I heard while attending a memorial service for a friend. The speaker shared stories about how we could all learn from Joe, "who lived his life being nice to others, and truly was a professor of caring and kindness."
The next reminder was driving through the metropolitan Atlanta area where I live. Just outside the city alongside one of our major interstates, many commuters and travelers are reminded with a message on a stack that simply says "Just Be Nice." My third reminder came when I watched the new television show "Songland." A catchy, uplifting tune called "Be Nice" by songwriter Adam Friedman won on a recent episode. Listen to it below as
released by The Black Eyed Peas just after the show. The lyrics are all about differentiating yourself: “Be different! Be nice! Just smile! I promise it’ll change your life.”
No matter who you are or where you live, life is better when we are kind to each other. Hopefully this newly released song will help influence that in the world.
This Week's Focus

This week, go out of your way to be nice. Smile and make someone's day a little brighter; offer a hug, offer a listening ear, send a kind email or card, say please and thank you without fail, etc. etc. etc. Click on the serenity sticky to print, cut and post on your bathroom mirror to remind you of this week's focus. Good luck!
