3 Quick & Proven Ways To More Calm In Your Life
This Week's Simple Tip
With all the stuff going on in the world, it is easy to feel stressed, worried, or overwhelmed. My gift to you on this Labor Day is a set of three quick and easy ways to find calm when you find yourself unsettled. Keep these handy ... they actually are helpful and enjoyable for people of all ages!

OPTION 1 - Belly Breathing
Deep belly breathing is simple but effective. To quickly experience more calm, just repeat 5 times anywhere, while sitting, standing up, or lying down. Just relax your tummy and place one hand just beneath the ribs. Breathe in slowly and deeply through the nose to the count of 4, and you'll notice your hand rising, like a balloon inflating. Then breathe out through your mouth to the count of 4, noticing the hand falling, as a balloon deflates.

OPTION 2 - Walking Barefoot
Walking barefoot, especially over grass, refreshes the mind as it increases the endorphin levels to reduce stress and anxiety. Studies show that walking just 15-20 minutes a day in the grass helps to reduce the stress level by 62 percent.

OPTION 3 - Five Senses This is a great way to slow down and focus more on the little things that make up our experiences. Scan each of your 5 senses and identify everything you observe for each one. Take a moment and focus on each sense, noting what you SEE, FEEL, HEAR, SMELL, and TASTE around you.
This Week's Focus:
