Are You An Excuse Maker?

Excuses drive me crazy. Granted, some times things happen and the excuse is valid. But some people are pretty regular with excuses for why they didn't get something done, why they dropped the ball on something I asked them to do, etc. I even find myself making excuses from time to time about something I did or did not do.

If you think about it, excuses are a complete waste of time and energy.

So why do we spend time deliberately creating alibis?

We often do not like to dig deep to look at the real reason that is keeping us from not doing whatever ... we find it easier and quicker to just come up with an excuse.

People have the option to either find a way to get something done, or make an excuse for not doing it. If we are making excuses a habit, think about what that really means.

This Week's Focus:

This week, if you find yourself making an excuse, take the time to dig deep and learn why you are leaning towards an excuse. This way you can gain momentum to be stronger than your excuses.
