Are You Being True To Yourself?

This Week's Simple Tip

Amazingly, January 2021 is already behind us! Do you ever wonder if you're missing out on the most important things in life? Many people are so busy being busy that they forget to actually live.

Bronnie Ware is an Australian nurse who spent several years working in palliative care, caring for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives. She recorded their dying epiphanies in a book called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying. They are:

  1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

  2. I wish I hadn’t worked so much.

  3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

  4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

  5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

With that in mind, have you taken any time to think about:

  • What you want to quit from here on out?

  • What you want to keep from here on out?

  • What you want to add from here on out

Make time to think about it so that the whole year doesn't get away from you without changing some things that enable you to enjoy the more important things in life.

This Week's Focus:

This week, spend 10-15 minutes thinking about what you want to quit, keep and add in your life. At the end of the week, write it down so you have it to reference at the end of each month to come. Life is too wonderful to let pass without enjoying the most important things.
