Are You Wasting Space?
I always think of my mother at this time of year. She was a huge advocate of fall cleaning. She gave each of her four children their "Fall Cleaning To Do List." There were no excuses for fun until the lists were completed.
While not as thoroughly, I do try to do some extra cleaning in the fall. What I have come to realize is that the more stuff you have, the more you have to clean, organize and care for.

So why keep anything that no longer serves a purpose? If I never listen to the CDs… if we never use the camping gear… if those old phones are just sitting in a box… if I don’t know what these cords go to… if I never play that piano… if that purse never gets used… if I never wear that pair of shoes… Author Randy Alcorn says, “Every increased possession adds increased anxiety into our lives.” And that is definitely true. They can raise guilt for wasting money on it, or surface regret every time you see it. This fall, get rid of your stuff that is taking up space! Remember: One person's trash is another person's treasure!
This Week's Focus:
This week, start with one room and evaluate the purpose of the things in it. If it is just taking up space, donate it or get rid of it.
