Are Your Hands Busy Enough?

This Week's Simple Tip:

You know those sticky felt things you put on the bottom of chair legs to make them slide easier? I find myself replacing them every few months when they start falling off. This has been going on for years.

But a couple of weeks ago, when they were coming off yet again, it made me crazy! It most likely had something to do with the added stress all of us are feeling lately.

So why am I telling you this? I bought some of those permanent gliders you nail in to the leg bottoms. I cannot tell you how amazing it was to hammer those gliders on and freely slide the chairs across the kitchen floor!

Using my hands to fix something in this broken world felt healing. Why? We are living in a time where there are many things that seem unfixable. This chair repair allowed me to be actually able to fix something :)We get the same feeling with hobbies; they provide a way of taking our minds off the stresses of everyday life, so we can relax in the moment. The current scarcity of puzzles and bicycles shows that people are realizing that busy hands help to calm the mind.

Want to find which hobby might be best suited for you? Answer these few questions to find out!
