How Consistent Are You?

It is election time in the United States. It drives me crazy as it becomes evident of inconsistent the words versus actions are of many politicians. But they are not alone.

Saying one thing and doing another thing that contradicts what we say is something many of us unintentionally do – and it hinders our trust-building.

Building trust requires not only keeping the promises you make but also not making promises you’re unable to keep. Why say you are going to do something if you know you are not going to do it? We all know those people who are "going to get everyone together" or are "going to stop by to help you on a project" and they never do. It gets to the point where you really don't care what they say anymore. If only they would just walk their talk! Be a person who is true to your word and follow through with your actions!
