Is Giving REALLY Better Than Receiving?
This Week's Simple Tip
Look at this beautiful post I saw recently on our local NextDoor app ...

This reminded me of the proverb "It's better to give than to receive." While the biblical interpretation of this is that a generous person will prosper, research exists to suggest that giving leads to greater happiness for the giver.
Giving has also been proven to decrease blood pressure and reduce stress. This reduction promotes longer life and better health. And most import, giving is contagious!! You can see this in the example above, and studies support that when you give to others, your generosity is often continued down the line to someone else, or returned to you.
Can't you just picture how lifted the world would be if we all started doing random acts of kindness like this? Let's go for it!
This Week's Focus:
This week, set an intention for the new year to perform little acts of kindness whenever a chance presents itself. It will be a win-win for both you as the giver, and as the receiver.
Click on the serenity sticky to print, cut and post on your bathroom mirror to remind you of this week's focus. Good luck!
