Is It Time To Put The Glass Down?
If you are anything like me, you have gone to the grocery store to pick up a few things, figuring you did not need a cart or basket. By the time you get down a few aisles, those things are feeling heavier and heavier.
Whatever it is, groceries or a glass of water, the longer we hold them, the more strained our arms become, and the only way to feel relief is by putting the glass or the groceries down.
The worries of life are just the same. If you think about a problem you have for a little while, it is fine. But if you begin to dwell on it longer, it begins to have more impact. Ultimately you feel incapable of doing anything. The only way you can move forward is to consciously put that problem aside. Distract yourself in some other way in order to help let it go. In other words, "PUT THE GLASS DOWN" so you get some relief! Take two minutes to see how a professor explains this life lesson to his class.
