Is Spontaneity Part Of Your Life?

This Week's Simple Tip

Years ago, some friends and I were comparing our favorite days of the week. Nearly across the board the answer was SUNDAY! Why? For the most part with the exception of church for some, Sundays are left unscheduled, and as a result, we feel more alive and therefore look forward to Sundays. So why is it that we feel so compelled to have plans for every day of our lives? Granted, routines are one of the best ways to manage day-to-day stress, as daily routines provide a way to conquer daily tasks in a comfortable, efficient way. Unscheduled or spontaneous days on the other hand, are unpredictable but exciting. They add oomph to life, making it interesting.

When everything in your life is pre-planned, it gets boring real quickly for most of us. We all know that some of the best surprises occur when you least expect them :) It's March 1st already! Go ahead and block out two days for which you will make "no plans." Call them NO PLANS DAYS! Savor the moments of those days and notice how alive they make you feel afterwards. Who knows, you may find you'll want to schedule more than two "no plan days" in April! :)

This Week's Focus:

This week get out your calendar and block out two NO PLAN days. Don't cheat and make these Sundays if those are already loosely planned days :) I triple dog dare you not to immensely enjoy those two days!!!
