Want To Make A Difference?
Giving is key to our well-being. Research has shown that when we volunteer, give of ourselves through time or money to help others, we benefit too. Our happiness grows, and we feel more satisfied with life.
But there are some catches so you don't feel overwhelmed:

1. Give because you want to. I feel very strongly that we should not have hungry people in our first world country. Because of this, I want to help that need in any way I can, be it monetary donations, grocery gift cards, meal train support, etc. I give because I want to, not because I feel forced to. 2. Block out designated giving time. It amazes me how much money is spent by organizations on gift giving campaigns throughout the year. I don't care what their goals are for a particular fundraiser. I just like to support them at the end of the year when it makes most sense for me. We rise by lifting others, but be sure it feels right to you!
This Week's Focus:
This week, assess where you may be able to help lift others to make their holidays more blessed. You too will rise.
