What Is Your BUT?
Regardless of our age, we should always have something to look forward to!! While memories are cherishable, it is important to have dreams to be working towards rather than sitting around thinking of the yesterdays gone by.
Yet one of the biggest ironies in life is that at times we let our "buts" be bigger than our dreams!!
We all have fears in our lives and if we are not careful, we can let these fears prevent us from achieving our dreams, goals and happiness in life. We start thinking of all the reasons we cannot do something instead of doing the things we need to do to make things happen.
The key to overcoming the fear is to just start. While we may not see the way in front of us, with just taking one step towards the dream, the entire way forward will likely appear.
Dust off your dreams! Stop talking about them, and take your first step towards making them reality.
This Week's Focus:
This week, think about the things you would like to do, and start pursuing one of your dreams. I've always wanted to learn to play the guitar but have never made the time. Take your first step as I will to say "I can't believe I did that" versus "I wish I did that."
