Where Is Your Hope Rooted?
I recently had that annual appointment that all women dread. I am sure you men have a dreaded one too :)
When I was ready to leave, not only did I feel a sense of relief to have it behind me for another year, but they gave me a beautiful tote bag pictured below.

It not only made me smile to be given the bag so unexpectedly, but I loved the image. It depicts the depth of my roots that give me hope because of my faith. Hope is a very complex and subjective concept. When we find our lives crashing down around us, we become fearful and angry, or we develop a kind of hope that gives us the strength not to give up. I am not talking about the wishful thinking kind of "hope," but instead the "hope" that gives you an absolute certainty that you can bank on something or someone that will never change. Where is your hope rooted? Is your hope having a perfect life, perfect looks, perfect children? Or is it a deep rooted hope as a result or your faith that everything will turn out exactly as it is meant to be.
This Week's Focus:
This week, think about where your hope is rooted. Are your roots material and shallow, or are they faith-based and deep?
