Our minds and bodies are interconnected. If we let the thoughts in our minds weigh us down, that will steer us in an unfavorable direction. But if we fill our minds with pleasant and positive thoughts, that will steer us in a good, useful direction.
Do you know what is amazing? One small move can change the direction by syncing our mind and body.
My yoga instructor demonstrated a quick technique for syncing. She had us pat on our thighs very quickly for about 30 seconds, after which we continuously slowed down the pace of patting for another 30 seconds. When we were done, the calm both in the mind and the body was very noticeable.
