Which Wolf Do You Feed?

Emotions rule a major part of our lives as humans! They shape your experience as a human being. They can take us to the heights of pleasure and to the depths of despair.

Life without emotions is unimaginable, but being able to understand and control emotions is advantageous. The Native American folk tale about the battle of two wolves inside of us helps with that understanding and control.

It goes like this ...

An old man told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all."

"One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, inferiority, lies, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, and truth."

The boy thought for a moment. Then he asked, "Grandfather, which wolf wins?" The old man quietly replied, "The one you feed."
