Would You Sacrifice Your Life?

Wow, here we are nearly at the end of May with Memorial Day weekend around the corner. Unlike last year during the pandemic, people are again excited for Memorial Day looking at it as the official beginning of summer, marked by picnics, BBQs, and relaxing with friends and family.

But Memorial Day signifies so much more! It was established as a holiday to give us a time to honor and remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the U.S. military.

Think for a moment how significant that is. Who or what would YOU be willing to sacrifice your life for? Some people might say their family or friends, but how many would say their country????

Do you know how many men and women of the military have given up their lives for this ? In total, starting with the American Revolutionary War in 1775 through to the ongoing War on Terror in the Middle East, there have been 1,311,740 military fatalities as of May 17, 2021.

I ask again: Who or what would YOU be willing to sacrifice your life for?

I won't be publishing a newsletter on Memorial Day. Instead in addition to a cookout, I will be making the time to truly celebrate these +1.3M soldiers who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us! I encourage you to do the same. Enjoy these ideas for different options.

This Week's Focus:

This week, think of how you and yours will show your true appreciation this Memorial Day weekend for those that gave their lives for our freedom. At a minimum, consider pausing for one minute at 3PM local time for the National Moment of Silence to remember those who have died in military service.
